what's a guardian family?

Here at Dinah Doodles & Aussies we strive to create an ethical breeding environment. Not just for our dogs, which is most important, but also for the industry as a whole. To ensure the health and well-being of our dogs, we never breed them until they're at least 1 year old, and we'll never breed them more than four times. Our Guardian Program allows us the ability to continually improve the breed, while ensuring the health and happiness of our dogs, and prevent overbreeding.

The Dinah Doodles & Aussies Guardian Program provides us with the opportunity to place one of our beloved breeding dogs in your home, where it will live as your lovable, adoring pet. The dog will be ethically bred, and before it gives birth will come and live with us in our personal home until its puppies are weaned.

Guardian homes are thoroughly vetted, and become a personal and important part of our intimate family.

What makes a good candidate for a Guardian Home?

  • A person or family willing and prepared to take on the commitment of loving and caring for their canine companion.

  • Prepared to maintain the dog's healthy lifestyle, from providing it a healthy diet to committing to the cost of flea, tick, and heartworm medication.

  • You live in West Tennessee, with no plans of relocating in the near future.

  • You are excited to experience the miracle of life, and committed to the care a breeding-age dog requires.
